Due to space issues, everything in our warehouse is going to be picked up by A Wider Circle. Here is a little bit about A Wider Circle:
“Hundreds of thousands of mothers watching their children go to sleep each night in beds rather than on the floor. Children picking out their school clothes each morning from dressers rather than plastic garbage bags. Low-income, pregnant adolescents receiving the care-taking skills needed to raise healthy babies. Recently-homeless parents learning – and putting into practice – the basic life skills needed to find and retain a job. This is why we are here, to create what is possible. The mission of A Wider Circle is simple: to help children and adults lift themselves out of poverty.”
We are so thankful that they are helping us in our transition to bigger and better things!

Enjoy our new site powered by wordpress. Please feel free to leave feedback
Hi Everybody,
We are reorganizing our space and really need to get rid of every item in our inventory. Name your price and the item is yours, first come first serve. http://furnitureforgood.com/store. Unfortunately with this sale we cannot deliver every item so if you have the means to pick it up that would be easier for both of us!
Cheers,
Andrew
Hi Everybody,
We are at a transition point with our website and we are looking for insightful feedback. Right now we have a great website FurnitureForGood.com, that is very functional, we have a shopping cart that looks differently and kind of is alone, and we have this great WordPress Blog so here are the options:
1. Keep using the website and the store, and use the wordpress as a blog only.
2. Make wordpress into the main website (furnitureforgood.com) and integrate a store into wordpress that will be the same style as the blog.
Please comment back or tweet or email or write on the page wall!!

I am excited to be writing about our wonderful non-profit partner organization One World Youth Project. Here is a little bit about OWYP:
“One World Youth Project is a youth-for-youth powered movement linking schools globally in service-learning to prepare the next generation for the globalized 21st century.”
OWYP is currently at their first Summer Training Conference for their American, Kosovan & Qatari university student leaders. Here is a video of their arrival: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Osj6i2Ka2J0&feature=player_embedded
Feel free to check them out more at www.oneworldyouthproject.org and donate to them through us at http://furnitureforgood.com/donate

We are very excited about our new non-profit partner organization, Hillel at the George Washington University. Here is a little information about them:
“GW Hillel is a vibrant community where students work together to develop dynamic programming and make friends that last a lifetime. Our programs cover topics from Israel to music, politics to social action, sports to leadership…and everything in between. Hillel at the George Washington University proudly serves more than 2,800 Jewish undergraduates and 1,500 Jewish graduate students of GW. GW Hillel was created in the 1930’s and moved to its current location, the Gewirz Center (23rd & H) in 1986. GW Hillel is one of the most active and rapidly growing Jewish campus communities in North America, offering a wide array of opportunities for Jewish students of all backgrounds and interests to plug in to Jewish life at GW. If you would like to start a student group or have an idea for a program, let any of our staff or student leadership know and we’ll make it happen together!” http://gwhillel.org
